It is a profession in danger right now. I've been a Florida Realtor for years and without having a second income stream I'd be in serious trouble. If the number of transactions were the same as it was just a few years ago the fact that houses have lost 30% or more of their value in most areas means a 30% drop in income anyway. I don't see light at the end of this tunnel either. Real estate agent income continues to drop as housing values drop and the number of transactions falls. It is a profession in danger right now.
